Celtic Consultants was formed in 2004 by Richard David IEng. MIET.

Until the age of 30, Richard trained and worked as a fitter machinist at a coking plant (part of NCB), and completed a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Richard then moved into more managerial roles in several blue chip companies, as a Production Manager, Works Manager, Purchasing Manager and General Manager.

In 1993, Richard was introduced to two Indian businessmen. Realising the potential for India-UK business deals, Richard successfully set up and ran a WOS (wholly owned subsidiary) import company. He ran this for its first 7 years until he handed over the company to Indian owners in 2000.
Richard then set up another new WOS from scratch, developing it into a multi-million pound business in just 3 years, before handing it over to Indian owners.

In 2004, Richard set up Celtic Consultants Ltd to represent the old colleague he had met in 1993.
To date, Richard had helped around 7 Indian manufacturers to establish a business in the UK. He continues to further establish Celtic Consultants Ltd into a global company – assisting Indian and most recently, Chinese, manufacturers to establish business relationships with British companies.
